Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel RN contract)
Start Date: September 8, 2025
End Date: December 8, 2025
Duration: 13-week nursing contract
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week, every other weekend & holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130–$2190
Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Floating: Required across multiple Med/Surg units, including neuro and oncology
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Wisconsin or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (within the last 3 years)
Experience in multiple Med/Surg specialties (cardiac, spine, neuro) required
Prior floating experience preferred
EPIC electronic charting experience required (within the last 12 months preferred)
BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Competency in basic arrhythmia and telemetry; must pass a telemetry exam before start
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Float between medical-surgical and telemetry units, including neuro and oncology, delivering high-quality patient care
Utilize critical thinking and assessment skills to provide evidence-based nursing care
Recognize and escalate patient complications, administer interventions, and ensure patient and family-centered care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, therapists, advanced practice providers, and physicians
Mentor new nurses and students; opportunities to precept and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and comply with all facility protocols and safety standards
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required
