Join our healthcare team as a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry for a travel position at a leading healthcare facility in Akron, Ohio. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, delivering exceptional patient care in a 17-bed Med-Surg/Tele unit with a focus on epilepsy monitoring and medical overflow.
Job Details
  • Location: Akron, Ohio - A vibrant community with rich cultural heritage.
  • Start Date: July 20, 2025
  • End Date: October 18, 2025
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960
  • Hours Per Week: 36
Job Requirements
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • ACLS/BLS & NIH certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
  • Experience with EPIC usage in the last 12 months
  • Ability to draw blood and start IVs
  • Nursing degree from an accredited institution (ACEN or CCNE)
  • Solid black scrubs required
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
  • Float as required within the unit
  • Work as a charge nurse for some shifts
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5
  • Participate in epilepsy monitoring and manage medical overflow
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
