Job Description

Planet Healthcare is looking for an Operating Room RN in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Shift: 8 hours, Day Shift, Variable start times from 630a to 9a, 40 hours per week, weekend and holiday rotation for on call only. No floating, but can float to Main OR if desired

Call rotation shared with 3 other nurses - weekends and holidays 6a-6p
On Call: will go into rotation with core staff – no weekdays or overnights

  • Rooms: 3, but can be flexed up to 4 if the need arises



Job Description & Requirements:
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP Pending compliance
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • 2 years of OR experience required
  • Will accept first time travelers
  • EPIC
  • Patient Types:
    • Adults only, mostly outpatient, approx. 10% are inpatient – vasectomies, catheter changes, cystos, ureteroscopy (TURP, prostate biopsies), clot evacuations, stent placement/removals
  • Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1
  • Skills required
    • experience with the above patient types, consents, positioning, prep, documentation, check-ins, patient transport to/from procedural rooms, cath changes (local sedation), specimen transport
  • Active WI/Compact RN license and AHA BLS required

Please note that all pay rates are estimates. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent residential address). Local pay packages may be available.
