Shift: 12-hour nights
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070
Job Requirements
Completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school
Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Illinois
Current National Board of Respiratory Care credentials
Basic electronic medical record documentation skills
Current American Heart Association BLS card
Responsibilities
Perform respiratory skills within the scope of Illinois Respiratory Therapy Practice Act
Deliver respiratory care activities as ordered by licensed healthcare professionals
Perform life-sustaining interventions during emergent situations
Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and other advanced modes of ventilation
Administer aerosolized medication and specialty medical gases
Assess patient effectiveness of therapy and recommend changes
Document interventions and responses in accordance with regulatory requirements
Round with the interdisciplinary team in ICUs and intermediate units
